I’d had the odd email exchange with Doug over some time and he’d been kind to make the odd bit’s and pieces available to me. Recently Doug and his wife came to Canberra and it was very nice that we could find time to catch up, both in my shack and just down the street with Ed VK1VP, a prominent VK1 Amateur and long time microwave’r.
Doug brought one of his 47Ghz transverters with him to show, which was particularly interesting given there’s almost no 47Ghz activity at this stage in VK, certainly cutting edge.
